This book is a user's manual,
not a book of feel-good philosophy or an inspirational book of religious
stories, though there are some good tales scattered here and there! This
book has one purpose, to offer you simple non-mumbo-jumbo tools and techniques
so that you can accomplish a miracle: Connect with, Converse with, Meet
and Merge with your Holy Guardian Angel.
This is not a fantasy
nor is it something only a few 'chosen ones' can do. Anyone, and that means
YOU, can meet and gain daily inspiration and guidance from your Guardian
Angel. The process is actually fairly simple, but it is not easy. It takes
effort, courage and determination. Most of all, it takes willpower. I know
dozens of people who have made this journey or who are in the process and
they are just normal people like you and me. The difference is that they
stumbled upon the keys to connecting and joining with their Guardian Angel
just as I did. This book is my effort to demystify this hidden process
and offer it to you on a silver platter. Enjoy!
Since you are holding
this book in your hand, you have taken the first crucial step in the process:
You are curious and interested. Let me sketch out what the following steps
look like. Be aware that, just like any relationship, your connection with
your Guardian Angel can be as close as you want it to be, you can keep
your relationship distant or you can literally begin the process of merging
with your Guardian Angel. The choice is up to you, as are all real choices.
The first step, outlined
in Chapter 1, is to simply prepare yourself to contact your Guardian Angel.
Chapter 2 is a short history
of the Guardian Angel as it has evolved throughout time in many different
cultures. This gives background and perspective, I hope.
Chapter 3 begins the process
of contacting your Guardian Angel and also outlines the process of in-depth
self exploration, something that is vital if you wish to become closer
to your Guardian Angel.
Chapter 4 takes this process
a step higher, offering exercises and techniques for expanding your relationship
and your DIRECT communication with your Guardian Angel to new levels.
Chapter 5 explores ways
to balance these new energies and changes that will be the direct result
of your now deep connection with your Guardian Angel as well as ways to
ask questions of your Guardian Angel and get real answers.
Chapter 6 talks about the
Shadow, the Darkside of each of us that the Guardian Angel must balance
and overrule as well as ways that the Guardian Angel can spiritually protect
you
Chapter 8 is something very
different. It is the key ritual or operation that, in ancient books of
mysticism, is called 'The Knowledge & Conversation of the Holy Guardian
Angel.' In a sense, this is the core or 'inner mystery' of this book. It
describes in step-by-step detail a ritual and process that is over 2000
years old by which you can 'meet' you Guardian Angel. It is intense, takes
tremendous effort, Will and focus and is very very real. I tell you PRECISELY
how to do it.
Chapter 9 then takes you
further and reveals techniques and exercises for further uniting and merging
directly with your Guardian Angel.
Please note: Though
this book lays out a step-by-step process that takes you from preparing
to contact your Guardian Angel all the way through to merging with your
Guardian Angel, you need not go through each and every step of this process.
Many people I have taught in seminars and workshops were content to simply
connect with their Guardian Angel, like in the exercises described in Chapter
3, and leave it at that. Others went further with the process, with exercises
and techniques that are described in Chapters 4 and 5. Very few people
that I know have actually gone through the whole intensive process called
'The Knowledge & Conversation of the Holy Guardian Angel' as set out
in Chapter 8. The choice is completely yours. Go as far with this process
as you will to do. Possibly you will return to this process at a later
date and take it farther.
I truly believe that
God has a plan for each of us and in this book I use the term True Will
for this plan. Each of us has things we are on this planet to learn and
to do. God and the emanation that God has given to you, your Guardian
Angel, are in this thing together. You can go as slowly or as fast as you
wish in your personal dance of evolution and spiritual growth, it really
is all up to you (BOTH of you).
One thing I am sure of:
All the things outlined in this book are REAL and PRACTICAL and get RESULTS.
I know because I and many others have done them with truly amazing success.
I provide comments from a variety of other people who will also attest
to the reality of the Guardian Angel and of this Path, you will find these
in Chapter 10.
I need to add that
this book exists BECAUSE of my Guardian Angel. After I had taken myself
through this process and chatted with many others who had done so, I began
teaching workshops on it. I was curious to see if anyone could do this.
I found out that, indeed, ANYONE can contact and communicate with their
Guardian Angel. From that time on, my Guardian Angel has been BUGGING ME
to share this information with the public! So here it is, maybe I can get
a little peace now.
I am proud that Red Wheel/Weiser
is publishing this book, and there is a very special reason why. The books
I used to learn about the Guardian Angel and how to contact it were bought
by me from a wonderful mystical bookstore in New York City thirty years
ago. The store was called Weisers and was owned by the original Weisers
Publishing! Indeed, what goes around comes around and God very definitely
has a sense of humor!
Now, a word about God.
Got your attention, didn't
I?
In this book I use the term
'GOD' quite frequently. I am fully aware that the term is used by billions
of people around the world and it means something different to just about
everyone. I use it because it is recognizable and it is a handy hook to
hang a very very big concept on: That of the Supreme Life Force that
pervades and IS the universe. Possibly terms like OM or TAO or Goddess
or Deity or Great Spirit may be more comfortable for you. It is understood
that when I use the term God I include ALL of these concepts and more into
this one word.
I do not believe in only
one religion, I believe in Universal Truth. No one is excluded. God is
Love, in my humble opinion, and there are no 'wrong' ways of worshipping
the divine, if it is done with love and true will, regardless of what various
religions, sects and people may profess. Thus, if you have reservations
about my use of the term God, please keep in mind the Spirit that I am
using the term in.
In a similar vein,
the term 'Guardian Angel' may be strange for some of you. No problem. Feel
free to substitute the term 'Guardian Spirit' if you prefer, or the term
Atman or the term Self or any other term that means the same thing
to you. The REALITY of the Guardian Angel is what is important, and it
is as real as these words you are reading now. Terms come and go, your
Guardian Angel is forever.
Now, it is time
to meet the best friend, the wisest teacher, the closest mentor and the
coolest coach you have ever had: I'm proud to introduce you to your Guardian
Angel!
