MEETING
YOUR GUARDIAN ANGEL
EXERCISE
#1
Do this in your bedroom or in another place that is quiet and warm where you can lie down without being bothered for an hour or so. It should have low lighting or a candle or two.
Breathe deeply and relax your body. Now, consciously relax each part of your body as you breathe deeply and slowly in and out:
Relax your feet, take off
your shoes and totally relax .
Relax your ankles pretend
that they are no longer there. Feel every muscle relax!
Relax your legs
Relax your thighs
Relax your loins
Your lower back is relaxed
totally relaxed
Relax your upper back
Relax your stomach just
let go.
Relax your chest, just relax.
Relax your arms they are
light….
Relax your shoulders they
have never been so relaxed…
Your neck is so relaxed
- it never felt so great.
Relax your head your head
no longer feels like apart of you.
Relax all face muscles….now
your whole body is relaxed and light as a feather….
This peace you now feel can always be with you. Breathe slowly but do not fall asleep!
Now: You will go on a mental journey to a special beautiful place where your Guardian Angel waits for you!
Close your eyes. See some
spiral stairs.
Imagine a light up at the
top of these stairs and at the top of the stairs is a door.
You are now going to walk up the stairs. 1st step , 2nd, 3rd , 4th, 5th halfway there., 6th,7th 8th 9th 10th. Look at the door before you. It is open a little, there is light coming from behind it. Examine the door carefully until it is completely clear to you and as real as can be. Now, open the door and walk through.
You will experience a beautiful
place that is amazing and yet familiar, isn't it lovely? It is a special
place for you. Enjoy it, sit and simply soak up the beauty.
Call with all your love
and will to your Guardian Angel.
<At this point, you will have a personal experience with your angel. Ask any questions you want, but make sure to ask your angel to strengthen the bond between you. Tell your Guardian Angel that you wish to understand more…>
Now to say good by to your angel, remember that your angel is always with you and will never leave you, all you have to do is ask your angel to come and it will.
Say goodbye.
Get up and go to the door,
open the door you see the stairs in front of you with a small light on
at the bottom of the stairs. Carefully descend, take one step say good-bye
, 2nd stair, 3rd, 4th… you are leaving. 5th you are half way down. 6th
step 7th you are almost home. 8th you are getting closer. 9th …. 10th:
you are home. You are back in your body. Feel you arms, legs, back and
all parts of your body.
When you open your eyes
you will feel relaxed and good and will from now on have a closer relationship
with your Guardian Angel.
Now, record your experiences in a journal.
I have led hundreds of people
through this exercise and, as simple as it sounds, it has sometimes had
remarkable, life changing affects on people! I recommend that you tape
this simple 'visualization exercise' and listen to it while lying down
in a quit place. It is also quite easy to do for a friend or loved one
by quietly and slowly reading it aloud. NEVER do this without completing
it and do your best never to be interrupted.
I've had several people
burst into tears when they made contact with their Guardian Angels in this
way. Several affirmed love relationships they had not been sure of and,
in at least 5 situations I can remember, people changed careers after just
doing this exercise one time! Others had difficulty getting up the stairs,
several could not get the door open and many enjoyed their private beautiful
place, but their Guardian Angel did not appear, though all felt a presence.
What does this mean? That we are all different and all in different stages
of spiritual growth and learning. I have found that it often takes doing
this exercise two or three times for it to be successful, especially if
the person doing it has no experience with meditation or visualization
exercises. I have never found anyone who did this exercise several times
who not get something significant out of it.
